Prof. (Dr.) Sharmila Ramteke, the author of this book, is a distinguished faculty member at the Karve Institute of Social Service in Pune, one of the leading institutes in Social Work. With 33 years of teaching experience, she specializes in Labour Welfare (now Human Resource Management), along with subjects like Labour Economics, Personnel Management, Training and Development, Sociology for Social Work, and Research Methodology. Dr. Ramteke has published several papers and articles in various state, national, and international journals, and has presented her work at numerous conferences and seminars. Currently supervising six Ph.D. scholars, she has also been actively involved with the HR community in Pune, serving as a fieldwork supervisor for students for the past 30 years. Additionally, she recently served as the In-charge Director of the institute for 2.4 years, and has handled all academic and administrative responsibilities. She is a member of various committees in NGO’s and in government organisation.
