Maria Modi, a distinguished scholar with a PhD in Plant Pathology from Annamalai University, Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu. With extensive expertise in plant-microbe interactions, she has contributed significantly to the understanding of plant diseases and sustainable agricultural practices. Dr. Modi’s research focuses on developing eco-friendly strategies to manage plant pathogens, aiming to enhance crop resilience and ensure food security. Her work, recognized both nationally and internationally, continues to influence advancements in plant health and sustainable agriculture.
Sudeepta Pattanayak, completed her B.Sc. in Agriculture and M.Sc. in Plant Pathology from Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT), Bhubaneswar, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at ICAR-IARI, New Delhi. She served as an Assistant Professor at MS Swaminathan School of Agriculture, Centurion University (2018-2020), gaining experience in academic and developmental activities, including organizing workshops and managing organic farming and mushroom units. Dr. Pattanayak has contributed to national and international journals and book chapters. Recently, she was selected as a visiting research scholar under the NAHEP-CAAST program and conducted research at Curtin University, Australia.
Vijay Shree Gahlot, holds a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Agriculture and an M.Sc. (Hons.) in Fungal Pathology from Swami Keshwanand Rajasthan Agricultural University. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at the Advanced Centre for Plant Virology, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi. She has qualified the ICAR-NET examination three times and secured the ICAR-SRF fellowship. A life member of the Indian Phyto pathological Society (IPS) and the Association of Plant Science Researchers (APSR), she has received the Young Scientist Award from APSR and has contributed extensively to plant pathology through research and popular articles.
Utpal Kumar Bhattacharyya, holds an M.Sc. in Agriculture from Assam Agricultural University and a Ph.D. in Plant Pathology (Plant Virology) from ICAR-IARI. He served as SMS (Plant Protection) at ICAR-KVK Goalpara until 2023 and is now Senior Scientist-Cum-Head at ICAR-KVK Longding. He authored the book *Plant Pathology at A Glance* and has published over 25 research papers, 6 book chapters, and 3 edited books. Dr. Bhattacharyya has extensive experience in extension research, organic pest management, and mushroom cultivation. He is a life member of the Indian Phytopathological Society (IPS) and has received multiple awards, including the IPS Best Poster Award.
Suram Syam Prasad, M.Sc., B.Ed., SET, M.Phil., Ph.D., is presently working as an Assistant professor of Botany at Government Degree College, Nelakondapally, Telangana-507160. He completed his M.Sc. (Botany) and Ph.D. in Botany from Osmania University, Hyderabad, Telangana. He was born in Sathupally, Telangana. He has about 20 years of experience in teaching and 6 years of research in the field of botany. He published five research articles and three book chapters in reputable international and national journals. He has participated in various conferences, workshops, seminars, webinars, and faculty development programs (FDP), enhancing his knowledge and expertise.
