About the Book

Molecular Perspectives in Horticultural Science explores the intersection of molecular biology and horticultural research, offering insights into the mechanisms that regulate plant growth, development, and responses to environmental stresses. This book highlights the role of molecular techniques in enhancing crop productivity, quality, and resilience in the face of global challenges like food security and climate change. Beginning with the molecular basis of plant growth and development, the chapters cover key topics such as genomic tools for crop improvement, the molecular mechanisms of plant hormones, gene expression regulation, and the application of biotechnology in pest and disease management. It also addresses the emerging potential of CRISPR/Cas9 in horticulture, molecular approaches to stress tolerance, and the role of secondary metabolites in plant health.
