About the Book

Higher education stands at a critical juncture in the 21st century, where the demands of a rapidly evolving global landscape call for a thoughtful re-examination of its purpose, structure, and outcomes. The traditional boundaries of knowledge are dissolving, and institutions are increasingly expected to nurture not only academic excellence but also inclusivity, innovation, and societal relevance. This volume, Redefining Higher Education: Quality, Equality and Innovation, emerges from this pressing need to reimagine the future of education in a holistic and transformative manner. Quality in higher education today extends beyond conventional metrics of performance and accreditation. It encompasses the development of critical thinking, creativity, ethical values, and lifelong learning skills among students. At the same time, the principle of equality demands that education be accessible and equitable, ensuring that learners from diverse socio-economic, cultural, and geographical backgrounds are empowered to succeed. Bridging these gaps remains one of the most significant challenges for policymakers, educators, and institutions alike.
