Research is the backbone of educational progress. It is through systematic inquiry that educators, policymakers, and institutions understand what works, what does not, and what needs reimagining. Over the past few decades, educational research has expanded dramatically, shaped by globalisation, technology, and
changing social priorities. Today, research is no longer confined to traditional surveys or experimental designs; it embraces qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods approaches, spanning everything from classroom practices to global policy frameworks.
